You know when you meet someone and you just hit it off? That’s how I felt when I met Sarah from Blue Lotus Films. We’re both in the world of video and I was so pleased to meet a local videographer in Alexandria. We got together a few weeks ago to talk about how businesses can benefit from creating video content on Youtube and the power video has in the growing digital landscape.
If you read my first blog post, you know that the idea for my business literally came from having my own Youtube channel Viciloves. I wish I would have had guidance or help from someone local – or approachable online- that I felt comfortable asking all the questions.
Now having worked with several local and online clients, it’s been the most rewarding experience to help guide them through their own video and Youtube journey. Creating video content is one of the best ways to build your brand online, even if you’re a brick and mortar store.
There’s a low barrier to entry (all you need is your phone!) and people will connect with you right away. My number one tip is to get comfortable with Insta stories and talking into the camera. Share your behind the scenes, your coffee mug, or the view from where you’re sitting.
Without giving too much away about the power of video in a digital landscape, watch the captioned video here:
I have more tutorial-based blog posts (and videos!) coming your way this month but if you have any specific question, please leave a comment below or DM me @victorialevitan on Instagram.
